Mini-Grants
The Chamber's Education Committee organizes several mini-grants for Windsor Public Schools. Grants are issued to teachers with big ideas for extra programs not provided for under the school's budget.
Chamber President,Martin McMahon (left), presents Board of Education President, Rusty Peck, a check for $2,000 to be used for mini grants for Windsor Schools grades K-12. Past grants have included but are not limited to: 1. WHS music students Planet Recording Studio tours 2. WHS Journalism students tour of Weaver HS radio station 3.Coca Cola career exploration program for special education students 4. MCC & CCC tour program 5. Careers and fine arts instruction in the elementary school 6. Roger Wolcott community career building activities 7.Eli Whitney invention program at JFK 8. Career role model materials elementary schools 9. Health career materials at WHS 10. Career reference materials WHS business education dept. 11. First Robotics competition
