October Business Breakfast The Windsor Chamber of Commerce's October Business Breakfast will be held today at Trinity Methodist Christian School located at 280 Park Avenue from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. Network with other businesses, take a chance on the raffle and enjoy the morning over coffee and Danish. |  | | Lions Club Arts & Crafts Fair Get an early start on your holiday shopping at the Windsor Lions Club Arts and Crafts Fair scheduled from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. For information call 285-0727
Canoe Race for the Windsor Food Bank The Windsor Kiwanis Club is sponsoring a canoe race from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. A number of canoes, sponsored by local service clubs, churches and organizations will be situated on the town green and accepting non-perishable and monetary donations for the Windsor Food/Fuel Banks. The distance the canoe travels on the green is dependent on the amount of food items/cash donated by the public to the organization sponsoring the canoe. All donations will be given to the Windsor Food/Fuel Banks. For information, call 683-0370.
Fire Safety Fire Safety October is fire prevention month and members of the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department along with the Town of Windsor Fire Marshal will be on the town green from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm to share fire safety information and allow participants to get a close-up look at fire fighting apparatus. Brown's Harvest Hosts Old-Fashioned Family Hoe-Down For Fox 61 Family Fund Charity If you're yearning for the good ole days of hayrides, live music and wholesome family fun, then Brown's Harvest has just the afternoon for you! On October 12th, Brown's Harvest will be hosting an old-fashioned Family Hoe-Down at its Windsor Pumpkin Patch to benefit the FOX61 Family Fund. A refreshing alternative to the typical black tie event, attendees will don overalls, boots and straw hats and join a local chef for a variety of pumpkin delicacies, including pumpkin soup, stuffed pumpkin, pumpkin mousse, tarts and bread all benefiting an important cause.

2007 Windsor Bridge-Builders Honorees Announced The Town of Windsor's Human Relations Commission and Citizens for a United Windsor (CUW) presented 2007 Windsor Bridge-Builders Awards to longtime community activist Patricia Gardner and Windsor Board of Education member Doreen Richardson.
All town residents and businesses were invited to a special reception and ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 27 in the Council Chambers on the lower level of Windsor Town Hall at 275 Broad Street.
