Town of Windsor Receives AAA Bond Rating -One of only 13 Connecticut Municipalities 83 Nation-wide Town officials have announced that Standard & Poor's Rating Services raised its underlying rating (SPUR) on Windsor, Connecticut's outstanding general obligation (GO) bonds to 'AAA' from 'AA+'. The upgrade reflects Windsor's extremely strong economic characteristics, aided by ongoing commercial and industrial development, strong management practices, and low debt burden. Windsor is the 14th Connecticut community to receive such a rating from Standard & Poor's and Moody's, two major Wall Street rating firms. As of January 2008, there were only 83 communities nationwide that held a Standard & Poor's 'AAA' rating.

L.A. Prajna Yoga Hosts Fundraiser To Help Windsor Food Bank
| | | Next week is a special week for L.A.s Prajna Yoga at Stony Hill School. We are hosting a fund raiser during all classes at the studio the week of June 16th for the Windsor Food Bank. Please see the attached flyer for dates and times. I know we are all feeling the pinch at the grocery store and gasp! at the gas pump. Every time I see the gas prices or my grocery bill, I remember just how lucky I am. Things are costing more and yet our refrigerator is always full and I have not had to trade off buying food or heating oil for another essential item. Our own Food Bank in Windsor supports those who are not so lucky.
Our cash (check) contributions to them enable them to buy food at a reduced cost from organizations such as Food Share. This food is distributed to Windsor residents in need. Next week I am offering free yoga classes at Stony Hill School on Tuesday, 1100am and 4:30 pm, Thurdsay, 5:45pm and Saturday 11:30am. I am asking that in return you make a cash(check) contribution to the Windsor Food Bank. Checks should be made out to the Windsor Community Service Council. Please bring your donation to class with you. If you would like to participate but can't make it to one of these four classes, I will give you a free yoga class on another week. You can send your contribution which is fully tax deductible to me at 155 Fieldstone Drive in Windsor. Thank you so much for your support. Namaste, Linda S. Alexander
