PaulaWalla Infuses Product Selection with Fair Trade and Recycled items Ethical business is one of the main goals at PaulaWalla Imports. While it is normally difficult to track exactly how and under what conditions many items are manufactured overseas, PaulaWalla has recently teamed up with World Trade Goods to source Fair Trade goods from many different cooperatives in several different countries.
"One of the most exciting items we're bringing in now is called a Recycled Coin Purse," says owner Paula Pierce, beaming. The purses are hand crocheted out of discarded plastic bags that once choked the landscape and livestock of Gambia. Discarded plastic bags are cleaned and hand crocheted into colorful, unique coin purses by women who are now better able support their families.

Service Cut To Bradley Airport Bradley International Airport will lose its Amsterdam flight effective Oct. 1. Northwest Airlines announced last night it will be suspending service from the airport.
The announcement comes one day after Delta Airlines announced it would cut service from Bradley to Los Angeles International Airport and almost one year to the day after Bradley's service to Amsterdam started on July 1, 2007. In just two days, Bradley has lost its only West Coast flight and its only flight to Europe.
Both Northwest and Delta said the cutbacks were necessary to accommodate for rising oil prices, which topped $140 a barrel yesterday. This year, Bradley has either lost flights or will be losing flights to Columbus, Denver, and Fort Meyers.
