Windsor Historical Society Joins Governor's "Staycation" Initiative for July and August During the months of July and August, Windsor Historical Society joins Governor Jodi Rell's "Staycation" initiative focused on getting Connecticut residents to save gas and explore cultural offerings close to home. As a special incentive, all visitors mentioning the "Staycation" initiative will get a dollar off the price of admission which is normally $5 for adults and $4 for seniors and students. Children under 12 accompanied by an adult visit free.

Youth Empowerment 2008 - Empowered to Reach Just One The Archer Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church and Praise, Power, & Prayer Temple will be hosting a 2008 Youth Empowerment four day event from Wednesday, July 30, 2008 through Saturday, August 2, 2008. All youth who are interested are encouraged to come to any/all of the events' activities. On Wednesday, July 30th and Thursday, July 31st, there will be a night service starting at 7:00p.m. at the Archer Memorial A.M.E. Zion church, 320 Hayden Station Road, Windsor, CT.
