Passport Supports Local Restaurants The Chamber member restaurants that participated in the Passport program this year enjoyed more business than usual. 5000 passports were printed and distributed and more people than ever registered for the contest.

Board Member Highlight - Beverly Boucher (Vice President) Since 2001, Beverly Boucher has been the Manager of Community Relations for ALSTOM Power, Inc. In her capacity she is responsible for distributing corporate contributions to non-profit agencies throughout the Greater Hartford and Western Massachusetts areas whose focus is on education, health & human services, the community and the arts. Bev's responsibilities also involve coordinating employee volunteer activities in the community and the annual Employee Charitable Giving Campaign benefiting the United Way of the Capital Area and the Pioneer Valley (MA) United Way.
Bev has been employed by ALSTOM since 1974 and has held various positions throughout the company in Sales, Finance, Support Services, Medical, and Human Resources. Concert & Fireworks to Celebrate Windsor's 375th Birthday You are invited to the Windsor 375 FREE Concert & Fireworks on Saturday, September 13 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.The Concert will be on the Windsor Town Green and then Fireworks in the rear of Loomis Chaffee School. This special "Come Home to Windsor" concert and fireworks celebration honors Windsor's 375th anniversary. You won't want to miss the homecoming of Windsor's own Big Al Anderson as he treats us to a concert on the Windsor Town Green. Opening for Big Al is Windsor's own Bus 13 beginning at 4:00 PM. Following the concert, enjoy a brilliant, colorful and heart pounding fireworks show in the meadow of the Loomis. As part of Windsor's 375th Anniversary, the Ellsworth Memorial Association will hold a Quilt Show on the grounds of the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead, 778 Palisado Ave., Windsor, CT 06095. Hours are Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, September 14, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Admission is $6 with proceeds benefiting the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead.
