Business After Hours at the Marriott
The Windsor Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours will be hosted by the Courtyard by Marriott located at 1 Day Hill road from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 17.
The Courtyard Hartford Windsor hotel surrounds travelers to CT with the conveniences that make business and pleasure travel easy. The hotel is conveniently located right off Interstate 91 in the suburbs of Hartford. Standard Milage Rates
Kristen Ingram, CPA forwarded the following information for businesses.
The Internal Revenue Service today announced an increase in the optional standard mileage rates for the final six months of 2008. Taxpayers may use the optional standard rates to calculate the deductible costs of operating an automobile for business, charitable, medical or moving purposes.

Board Member Highlight
Christine moved to Windsor CT, from Syracuse NY in 1997. She is a customer service manager with Aetna in Windsor on Day Hill Road for the past 7 years. She graduated Rochester Institute of Technology in 1994 with a BT in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
Christine also lives in Windsor and enjoys the historical charm that the community has to offer.
