WCC Chili Challenge Join us on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on the Windsor Town Green for tongue-tingling flavors, toe-tappin' sounds and a good time at the Windsor Chamber of Commerce's Chili Challenge!
Word on the street is that this year's Chili Challenge promises to be the best ever with more than 33 different chilis. Samples of delicious hot chili will be available for $1.00 each.

Business After Hours - Candidates Night The Windsor Chamber of Commerce October Business After Hours will be a "Meet the Candidates" moderated debate held October 15 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Windsor Town Hall on Broad Street in Windsor.
Meet the candidates for public office and ask questions that affect business. Enjoy refreshments and network with other business people. Free and open to the general public.

Blood Drive The Wilson Congregational Church and the Windsor Chamber of commerce will be sponsoring the a Blood Drive on Monday, October 20 from 1:30 PM 6:30 PM at the church located at 691 Windsor Avenue. Please call Paul at 688-6753 to sign up.

WCC Board Member Highlight
|  | | Paul Vagnini is a graduate of Notre Dame High School in West Haven, and Providence College. His company, Nojunkmail.net, is a two-tiered business, one, a consumer service, assists consumers who wish to reduce their junk mail, and secondly, a printing and mailing division, specializing in the municipal market, ex. printing tax bills, Grand List data, newsletters, bookbinding, and providing mail services.
In addition to serving as Vice-President with the Windsor Chamber, he is also on the Board of Directors at WIN-TV. Paul has coordinated the Chamber Blood Drive the past two years. A member of St. Gabriel Parish, he has volunteered his time for numerous fundraisers over the years. In years past, he has been involved with Windsor Little League, and the WIBL Basketball League. He, and his wife, have also been members of the church choir for several years. In addition, he is currently a basketball referee with IAABO Board #6.
Paul, and his wife Maureen, have been Windsor residents since 1976, have three children, Jay, Brian and Laura, all Windsor High School graduates, and two adorable granddaughters, living in Plymouth, Mass.

The Konica Minolta bizhub Customer Care Center is having a Charity Tag Sale in our parking lot at 500 Day Hill Road on Saturday October 18th from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We are selling the "vendor" spots to our employees and will be donating the proceeds to a TBD charitable Windsor organization.
Clover Street School Playground Committee in conjuntion with Boundless Playgrounds will be holding a Values and Outcomes Planning Session on Monday, October 6 at Clover Street School, 57 Clover Street. A group decision making exercise to help prioritize the activities adult stakeholders in the community want for our children. This session will help establish priorities for updating the Clover Street School playground and turning it into a fully inclusive Boundless Playground. For more information 219-4000.
Ellen Brooks offers energy healing sessions by appointment at the Water Closet located at 46 Bloomfield Avenue on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 pm to 8pm starting September 16.
