WCC Shad Derby Blood Drive

Dear Chamber Member:
When you think about saving a life, is the vision you have, one of someone running into a burning building, and carrying out a small child ? Or, someone rescuing a drowning man ?
Me, too.
But, did you know, that you can also save a life by taking a small amount of your time, and giving blood ? That's right, giving blood.
And the real bonus....your donation will help up to three people, every time you donate, since your blood is broken down into three separate components, and can be used for three different recipients. Imagine, helping three people with one donation !
Maintaining a safe and ample blood supply is a community responsibility, so we are asking for your help. And not only you, but your family and friends too ! Ask them to give the gift of life with you.
Please consider making a donation this year. Our Blood Drive will take place at the Windsor Town Hall, on Thursday, May 15th, from 1:30 to 6:15. Our goal is to have 70 donors this Blood Drive.
You can make an appointment to fit your schedule by calling the Chamber of Commerce Office at 688-5165. Walk-ins are also welcome, but please allow a little extra time, since appointments will be honored for those who have reserved specific times.
Most of us never think about the necessity of an ample blood supply until someone close to us is in a position to need it. Why not step up TODAY, and make an appointment. Then give yourself a pat on the back, knowing that you have helped to improve the life of someone in need (maybe three !).
