Chili Challenge 2005 a Success
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The rain gods did not dampen Windsor Spirits that came through loud and clear for the Chili Challenge on Saturday.
Every entrant braved the weather and the mud to make the day a huge success: ADVO, The Beanery Bistro, Barts, Century 21/Wm Smith, D'Aleo Design, First Town Downtown, Flowers by Timothy, Gaylord Hospital, Heart and Soil, Hello Life Meals, Jordan's/Pampered Chef, Kimberly Hall South, Molly Maids, Prudential Realty, Traditions/MDC, Tumblebrook Country Club, Villari's, Whistle Stop Cafe, WHS Culinary Class, Windsor Democrats, Windsor Republicans, Windsor Jaycees, Windsor Police Dept., Windsor Rehab, and Windsor Sanitation!
The Judges tasted a record amount of chili! Joe Arcarese, Raquel Cintron, Tim Curtis, John Gamache, Tom Martin, Mike McDonald, Nanette Serrano, and Peter Souza. Betsey Lepak and her volunteers did an awesome job collecting and tallying the results.

The Kiwanis Club collected 2563 pounds of food and $600 dollars in cash donations was collected for the Windsor Food Bank Alex's Lemonade Sold out Volunteer Fire Dept. Sold out Jaycees Sold out
Visitors from out of the area in Windsor for the Soccer Tournament and Loomis Track and Field Competition, were impressed. Jane Garibay and I cannot say thank you enough for making the day such a success.
Will you be back next year? Mark your calendar....Saturday of Columbus Day Weekend. If there was a rain date announced at the time of registration, would you have been able to reschedule and come a week later? A day later? Let us know!
