Family Fun and Movie Night
| | | On Friday, August 21, the public is invited to a free movie night on the Windsor town green as part of the "Paws For a Cause" public art exhibition of painted dogs; a fundraiser for the Windsor Education Foundation. It's going to rain, so we're moving the movie inside the Town Hall. Come around back.
Come watch the Disney dog classic "Lady and the Tramp" with many of the famous Paws for a Cause dogs and vote for your favorite dog with your spare change. All proceeds go to benefit WEF programs.
It's a whole evening of fun. Start off before the movie by heading over to Dom's Broad Street Eatery for a Spaghetti and Meatball dinner (remember the scene from the movie?).
The concert has been postponed and will be rescheduled in October.
Finally, settle down at about 8:30 pm to watch everybody's favorite dog movie "Lady and the Tramp". Most of our sponsors will be bringing their dogs down to the green to watch the movie with you! Inside the Town Hall - water, popcorn, and puppy chow (for people) will be for sale to benefit WEF.
We'll also announce the winner of the very popular Paws for a Cause Dog Hunt. The winner will receive a $1,000 Savings Bond donated by Windsor Federal Savings, Dr. Steven Farley and Dr. Roberta Garceau.
The grand finale event, the Paws for a Cause Dog Auction, will be on October 23rd at Birch Meadow Banquet Facility in Bloomfield. All the incredible painted dogs that we've been enjoying all summer will be up for auction. All proceeds will benefit WEF programs.
For more information, please go to the Windsor Education Foundation website at www.WindsorEducationFoundation.org or call 860-688-5165.
