Notrthwest Park CoffeeHouse Concert - Don White

Don White in Concert

The Friends of Northwest Park are pleased to present contemporary, singer/songwriter and humorist DON WHITE in concert on Saturday, March 21st at 7:30 pm at the Northwest Park Nature Center in Windsor, Connecticut.

If you laugh and cry within the same ten minutes, you either need a vacation or you are sitting in the audience at a Don White show. Folk singers are usually an earnest, soulful lot, but Don White is different. He's funny - as when he sings about his goofy dog Rascal, is "two-digit bank balance" and how he has to preface every statement to his kids with the line, "I'm not trying to oppress you, but..."

People familiar with the Village Voice, The Boston Globe and many other major publications throughout the country have read about his lively and engaging performances and have seen the glowing reviews that his 6 CD's have garnered over the years. Don has entertained at major colleges, festivals, concert halls, clubs and coffeehouses nationwide. "This will be the forth time Don has performed at Northwest Park and it will be a night to remember." ... Chuck Drake NW Park volunteer.

The Northwest Park Nature Center is a smoke free, handicap accessible facility located in Windsor, Connecticut. For ticket information and reservations go on line at www.northwestpark.org, or call 860-285-1886. Proceeds will benefit environmental studies at the Park.
