Farmers' Market
| | | Don't miss our last farmers market of the season! First Town Downtown of Windsor is hosting the region's newest farmers' market Thursday October 28 from 3:30 to 6:30 pm at 240 Broad Street (Route 159), on the corner of Maple Ave and Broad St. in Windsor Center. It will be held rain or shine. Many farms and vendors will sell products every single week. They include: Healthy Cleaning Solutions, produce from Newgate Farms of Windsor, Staples Farms of Mansfield, and 18th Century Purity Farm of Moosup; eggs and baked goods from Millix Family Farm of Willington; honey and beeswax candles from Swift Farm of Mansfield; garlic from The Garlic Farm of West Granby; and Teri Cummings, Certified Holistic Health Coach will be offering free recipes, healthy cooking tips & other ideas to easily incorporate all the wonderful, fresh, local foods that we have right here in Windsor. Teri will also be offering Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Sugar Free baked goods (based on availability) and tips to help those with food allergies thrive in life.
Each week, a different Windsor farm will be showcased. They include Brown's Harvest, Farms of Southern New England, and Kotowitcz Farm. Throughout the four months of the weekly Windsor Farmers Market, vendors and crafters will "rotate" through, offering specialty items. Two of those are B'udder Bar LLC and its goat milk skin products, and Barb's Bags ETC's handmade cloth shopping bags, produce bags and totes.
Admission to the farmers market is free. Free parking is available on the street and in adjacent parking lots.
