Meeting Hosted by Suffield Chamber
Present: Jon Rechenberg (East Granby & Granby Chambers) Mary Ann Guarco (Granby Chamber), Roger Voyer (Granby Chamber), Greg Panjian (Suffield Chamber), Eileen Moncrief (East Granby & Windsor Locks Chamber), Rebecca Taylor (East Granby & Windsor Locks Chambers)

During meeting the committee discussed the schedule of events for the rest of the year. At this time, East Granby and Windsor have held their events. Windsor Locks has plans to have their event in July (date has not been announced). Suffield discussed ideas for events with the committee. Eileen explained that the idea of the TVCA was 1. to bring different people together for a successful networking event and 2. to showcase a town historical or tourist spot. A place that maybe area residents/businesses don't know about, but should. We reviewed and discussed a few ideas with Suffield for their event. Suffield is trying to have an event in May or June. Granby also discussed their event and when they could host theirs. We discussed ideas for their venue as well.
The committee discussed what has made each event successful. Marketing such as e-blasts, postcards, calling members to remind the members, newsletters, and providing the event information to the local press.
The remaining chambers East Windsor and Bloomfield have not announced their venue or dates, but the committee hoped to have a completed schedule to market to the members of all seven chambers soon.
Rebecca provided the skeleton of the TVCA website and the committee provided feedback. If anyone has pictures from TVCA events that they would like to provide and/or feedback from attendees, please send to rebecca@dsi-mktg.com The final will be up by Monday the 19th for the committee to review. The committee discussed the logo and agreed that all the chambers should have a TVCA logo on each chamber's website.
The committee also discussed who should be on the mailing. The attached list should incorporate everyone who has requested to be on the list.
The meeting concluded with a short tour of the Suffield Tavern and thank you to the Suffield Chamber for hosting the planning meeting and for a delicious breakfast. The schedule for the next planning meetings was discussed. Granby offered to host it if needed.
