Area Veterans Present Award
Windsor resident Jackie Gianfriddo, a U.S. Navy Wave who served in World War II, presents an award on behalf of Connecticut River Valley World War II Veterans to Frank W. (Bill) Carmon III of Windsor at a banquet in Arlington, Virginia. Carmon received the honor on behalf of his family and the staff of Carmon Community Funeral Homes for their longtime support of veterans in all of the towns they serve. Carmon and Gianfriddo were in Washington, D.C. on a special Carmon-sponsored trip for 90 World War II and Korean War veterans to visit war memorials and Arlington National Cemetery.
