Brown's Harvest Old-Fashioned Family Hoe-Down For Fox 61 Family Fund Charity

If you're yearning for the good ole days of hayrides, live music and wholesome family fun, then Brown's Harvest has just the afternoon for you! On October 12th, Brown's Harvest will be hosting an old-fashioned Family Hoe-Down at its Windsor Pumpkin Patch to benefit the FOX61 Family Fund.

A refreshing alternative to the typical black tie event, attendees will don overalls, boots and straw hats and join a local chef for a variety of pumpkin delicacies, including pumpkin soup, stuffed pumpkin, pumpkin mousse, tarts and bread all benefiting an important cause.

Other highlights include free hayrides, 2-step and line dancing lessons to the live music of Paul Howard and Stacy Phillips and kids' entertainment by Ed the Balloon Man.

Brown's Harvest's Friday afternoon Family Hoe-Down runs from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for children aged 2-10 years and free for those under age 2 with proceeds to benefit the FOX61 Family Fund. What's more, there are free pumpkin pies for the first 30 families through the gates. All food for the Family Hoe-Down is generously donated by PriceChopper in Windsor.

The event is part of Brown's Harvest's 30th anniversary celebration throughout October. For reservations, call 860.683.0266 or e-mail brownsharvest@yahoo.com
