Court Jesters Comedy Basketball Fundraiser
Community Health Resources Announces April Event Featuring Court Jesters Comedy Basketball and a Team of Local Celebrities
Local celebrities and representatives of Community Health Resources (CHR) are "teaming up" for a great cause! On Thursday, April 27, they'll take on The Court Jesters Comedy Basketball Team during a special fundraising event at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The event, sponsored by North Central Counseling Services, a service division of CHR, has appropriately been dubbed "Court Jesters & CHR: Hooping it Up!" All proceeds will benefit Safe Home of Enfield, a residential program for abused and neglected children.
Cathy Poulin, Public Relations Director for Bob's Discount Furniture, will serve as Honorary Chair of the event and will also participate in the evening's game. She is well known for her role on Bob's television commercials. As of this printing, her teammates will include Ann Baldwin, President of Baldwin Media Marketing and former anchor/reporter for WVIT-TV Channel 30; Sean Drinan, Vice President of Smith Barney/Citibank; Joe D'Ambrosio, a sports reporter for both WTIC-AM and ESPN; Jack Davis of Hallmark, CHR's Board Chairman; and Tom Mihalek, CHR's Human Resources Director. Kara Wolters, a former UCONN Women's Basketball star, will tip-off the game.
In addition to the basketball game, the event will feature a buffet dinner by Max's Catering and a live auction by Rossi Auctioneers and Appraisers. A fun half-time show will involve audience participation, and an autograph session will follow the game.
Corporate sponsorships are available at a variety of levels, including Gold ($4,000), Silver ($2,500) and Bronze ($1,250). Sponsorships include ten event tickets, advertising in the program book. Individual patron supporter tickets are $75 and include a featured listing in the evening's program book.
If you would like more information, would like to serve as a sponsor or would like to purchase tickets, please the Community Health Resources' Development Department at (860) 731-5522, extension 214 or extension 242.
