Jerry Wistrom Earns Certification

Business Coach Jerry Wistrom has earned the prestigious certification of Professional Certified Coach from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the largest non-profit professional association worldwide of personal and business coaches with 8592 members. The ICF establishes industry regulations and minimum standards for professional coaches and coach training programs.

"I'm absolutely thrilled to have the initials PCC after my name" Wistrom said when asked to comment. "Having an ICF certification is the gold standard of professional coaches.".

Credentialing of coaches has become increasingly important in recent years due to increased public awareness of the profession. As people become more educated about the coaching profession, they become more aware of scrutinizing a potential coach's qualifications. ICF credentials are increasingly becoming the benchmark for delineating the qualified from the unqualified.

Of the estimated 10,000 full and part-time coaches in the United States, less than 800 are certified at the PCC level by the ICF. In earning this credential, Mr. Wistrom becomes the 14th Professional Certified Coach (PCC) in Connecticut, the 62nd PCC in New England to earn this distinction.

Mr. Wistrom's clients have been reaping the rewards and awards of having a coach on their side.

In May, Stanley Gryskiewicz's PC Development Group was ranked number 11 in the Hartford Business Journal's listing of the Hartford Region's Fastest-Growing Private Companies. Gryskiewicz, whose Windsor, CT, company repairs and sells computers and builds custom computer systems attributes the success of his company, at least in part, to support he's received from his business coach, Jerry Wistrom of All Out Coaching, who's been Gryskiewicz's coach and confidant since he opened his doors.

"Jerry's coaching has been invaluable. He's a good sounding board and a good motivator. He pushes you to take your business to the next level," Gryskiewicz said.

Gryskiewicz started his businesses straight out of college. "Being 24 years old, I did not have a lot of business experience," he said. "I was probably a little nave. It is great to have Jerry on my team. He certainly shortened the learning curve for me."

Wistrom's style is unique. "I'm in deep with my clients. Often, I'm part of everything they do-hiring and managing employees, building vendor relationships, developing marketing strategies, enhancing customer relationships. I even helped Stan pick out his engagement ring," Wistrom chuckled.

Another of Wistrom's clients, John Waiveris whose Windsor, CT, company Invisible Gold, which specializes in easily edited content management for small business websites, recently won a Silver Award for Innovation from the CQIA (Connecticut Quality Improvement Award).

Like Gryskiewicz and Waiveris, a growing number of entrepreneurs and small business owners are turning to the nation's business coaches for help. Part business advisor, part confidant, part best friend, a coach is there to offer support when you need it and push you to do your very best like no one else can.

Jerry Wistrom started All Out Coaching in 2002 to help overwhelmed and stressed-out Small Business Owners who want to take their business to the next level. His clients are successful, dedicated, intelligent people who work very hard to make their business the best that it can be. "They've found that hiring a business consultant/coach can be one of the best investments they made in their business," Wistrom said.

In fact, a Fortune 500 firm and Pyramid Resource Group, a coaching services company, recently engaged MetrixGlobal LLC to determine the business benefits and return on investment for an executive coaching program. The study found that professional coaching produced a 529% return on investment and significant intangible benefits to the business.

"To be successful it is important to have a coach on your team," Gryskiewicz said. "Just like you have a lawyer and an accountant, a coach is another of the trained professionals you need to be successful. I would recommend that every business owner who is serious about growing their company hire a professional coach."

Coaches and clients usually keep in touch by phone, conversing between two and four times a month about whatever business or personal issues the client needs to discuss. Coaching fees range from $250 to $1000 a month for three half-hour coaching sessions.
