Product Manager - Parts E07232
The selected candidate will be responsible for the product commercialization, market strategy, business plan and profitability (including cost and sell price development) for various Parts Product Lines valued over $50M. This position provides strategic plans for growth, technical and commercial leadership in concert with the Product Specialists and process oversight. Develop, recommend and implement strategic initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction and improve performance. Will make strategic decisions that can impact long-term business objectives.

Typical duties/responsibilities for Product Management may include, but are not limited to, the following:

q Responsible for Product Line from beginning to end
o R&D product selection and commercialization oversight
o Seek clear definition of product requirements to maintain our market presence
o Defines value of product and competitive position
o Establishes market pricing and conducts pricing reviews
q Executes the Product business plan
o Develops and executes product strategies and business plans
o Maximize company's profitability. The Product Manager runs a business within the business.
o Develops the market approach
o Competitor analysis and countermeasures to improve market position
o Inventory forecasting
o Sets tactical approaches that supports the overall Product Strategy
o Determine cost and service level required and plan to achieve
o Understand technical and commercial risks and business impacts
q Product expert
o Clearly keep team informed, communication
o Track key metrics
o Provide Product guidance

Assist in the development of complex proposals and strategic alliances with major accounts and suppliers. Negotiate and assess risks related to various aspects of T & C's in accordance with company policy. Recognizes major drivers and develops strategies and opportunities; prepare "bundled" offerings if need be. Work with the Product Administrators and various project teams to close deals and meet business planning objectives.

Can lead and coordinate activities of support groups and project teams and assign specific responsibilities. Determine most effective means of accomplishing objectives, develop schedules, conduct and coordinate related activities. Ensure that overall efforts are in concert with customer and Company requirements.

Maintain close contact with customers, suppliers and project participants to identify and resolve issues of mutual concern and to see opportunities for additional business. Monitor and act on customer feedback to solidify customer satisfaction and desired financial return.

Able to grasp a working knowledge and value differentiation of all products within the segment. Can negotiate commercial and technical aspects, understands manufacturing processes and is acknowledged as the product lead.

Travel: approximately 40% required.

COMPLEXITY OF TASKS:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to work in a matrix environment and achieve cooperation and negotiate agreements with customers and suppliers. Requires a technical aptitude and commercial insight to position products into a changing marketplace, while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to Company objectives.

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, marketing or related field required, with minimum 5 years of related experience. Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and or demonstrated accomplishments. Demonstrated competencies for this position include: critical thinking, strategic vision, knowledge of commercial matters and our customers, ability to influence people and build strong teams, proven leadership skills, a change agent, knowledge of Boiler and Environmental products and services and the ability to travel.
