A small group of volunteers who banded together in 1967. Their mission was to assist the members of Windsor's community who are alone, disabled or in need. The group is made up solely of volunteers and operates under the auspices of health and social services. The council has been steadfast in its crusade to collaborate with other support systems to benefit the needy.

An email group of 1003 members (as of April 22, 2008) giving and getting free stuff. The group's goal is to keep good, usable stuff out of the landfills. Windsor Freecycle is open to anyone who would like to reuse and recycle things rather than throw them away. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano or an old door, feel free to post it as an OFFER. Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself! Post a WANTED message.
