2007 Shad Derby T-Shirt Design Contest
Windsor residents are invited to participate in a Shad Derby tee shirt design contest, sponsored by the Windsor Jaycees.
The winner will receive $250.00. Design must include the words "Shad Derby 2007," and may be submitted electronically in jpeg or pdf format to secretary@windsorjaycees.com, or by mail on standard size 8 _ x 11" paper to Shad Derby T-Shirt Design Contest, Windsor Jaycees, P.O. Box 67, Windsor, CT 06095.
Submission deadline is March 1, 2007. Winner will be announced March 23, 2007. All designs become the property of the Windsor Shad Derby Committee.
The Windsor Jaycees sponsor annual Christmas tree sales, the Sheila Schmidt Special Ed Fishing Contest, the Shad Derby Parade and Festival on the Green. Proceeds from these events are used to fund other civic causes, such as scholarships for several Windsor High students. Anyone interested in volunteering for any of these events or learning more about the Windsor Jaycees is invited to contact Dan Kelly at president@windsorjaycees.com.
The 2007 Shad Derby parade and festival will take place on Saturday, May 19.
