Calling Crafters for Lions Arts and Crafts Fest
For many years, the Windsor Lions Club have sponsored its Spring Arts and Crafts Festival. This year the Festival will be held on May 12th, 2007, the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend, on the historic and picturesque Windsor, CT Town Green. The hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM rain or shine. At least 100 artists and craftspeople from throughout the region are expected to participate. Sites are available at $65 for a 12x12-ft area or $75 for a 15x15-ft ea.
Exhibitors are asked to submit three photos or slides representative of their work. Only handcrafted displays, please, no imported or commercial ones, and no live plants or food items. Exhibitors are provided with assistance in setting up, free parking, booth sitting, coffee and donuts during setup. There is free parking for the public and no admission fee. Public conveniences are available and the Lions will be selling food and refreshment throughout the day. For more information or an application form, please contact Veikko Laakso at (860)-688-5393. All proceeds go to the Windsor Lions Charities. These include free eyeglasses and eye examinations for Windsor students and Senior citizens in need, scholarships for Windsor High graduates, WILA and Foodshare to name a few.
