Chamber's Haunted House to include New Scares from Century 21Wm.R.Smith Reality By Shari King
The Chamber of Commerce annual Haunted House held on Oct 28 will be bursting with ghoulish delight as they announce Century 21 has joined in on the fun. Every year during the Nightmare on Broad Street the Luddy House is transformed into a demonic dwelling. Each room in the house is altered by volunteers invoking spirits of spookdom and are chock full of ghastly frights.
Century 21 plans for their room are top secret and Bill Smith founder and owner of the William R. Smith Reality would not divulge any hints as to what type of spooktacular theme they are concocting, but he did share that his agents are getting real excited about it, whatever it is.
Smith said that the Century 21 hosted their own haunted house at their offices on Poquonock Avenue many years ago.
Smith explained, "When we had our haunted house though, we didn't want to scare the kids, we just wanted them to have fun. The amazing thing was the parents, they would bring their kids in and want us to scare them."
Wm. R. Smith Reality was founded in 1972. In 1993 the company became part of the Century 21 system, the largest marketing organization in the world. They offer all the real estate services buyers and sellers need and expect including residential sales, relocation services, rentals, commercial and investment properties and land sales.
Knowledgeable agents, state of the art sales tools and commitment to their customers are the combination that has won this company numerous awards. The business is involved in many town wide activities and the Haunted house is added to a long list of events that Wm. R. Smith helps to support.
Smith said, "I think this Halloween is going to be a lot of fun." He then added, "Scary stuff is kind of neat."
