Daniel L. Leon Passes Away

Mr. Leon Made Many Contributions to the Windsor Community
Daniel L. Leon, long time Windsor resident passed away on Monday, December 10th in Lake Worth Florida. Mr. Leon was the owner of Blooms Package Store in Windsor. Mr. Leon was Past President of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce where he received the Hallas Award for outstanding service to the Chamber and the Windsor Community. He started the Chamber's newsletter and was active in the business community. He was a founding member of the Jaycees and Congregation Beth Ahm where he served as President of it's Mens Club for 7 years.
The funeral will be Friday, December 14th at 1:30 pm in the Chapel of the Carmon Funeral Home at 807 Bloomfield Avenue. Rabbi Howard Herman will officiate. Burial will follow at Hartford Mutual Cemetary in East Granby. A memorial period will be observed at the home of his son, David Leon, at 1 Highway Road in Simsbury Saturday Evening through Sunday evening.
