Bluegrass Coffeehouse Concert
| | | Bluegrass Music comes to Northwest Park
The Northwest Park Coffeehouse Concert Series will end its 13th season offering a night of bluegrass music with NorthernBound on Saturday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Northwest Park Nature Center in Windsor, Ct.
NorthernBound based out of Winsted, Ct. has been picking together for years. The boys list the Country Gentleman and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver as being a great influence on their music. But NorthernBound has adapted those traits and developed their own sound. They perform some old favorites, Gospel, and several original tunes as well. Pure unadulterated Bluegrass from this quartet with the Paden brothers: Steve on mandolin, Harry on banjo and Ray on string bass and Mike LaRocque on guitar.
Tickets are $14 and are available on line at www.northwestpark.org or by calling Northwest Park at 860-285-1886.
The Northwest Park Nature Center is a smoke free, alcohol-free handicapped accessible facility. All proceeds benefit environmental education at the park.
