Darren Kramer, WTNH News Channel 8 Good Morning Connecticut anchor, will once again serve as grand marshal for the Bike MS: bkm/Steelcase Ride, Sunday, June 1, at Griffin Center in Windsor, Conn. More than 6,000 Connecticut residents are affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), a potentially debilitating disease affecting the central nervous system. The cause is unknown and, as a result, there is currently no cure for MS. Connecticut residents can help end the devastating effects of MS. The 2007 Windsor ride raised a record-breaking $305,000 and attracted more than 550 cyclists.
Funds raised through participation in chapter events, such as the Bike MS: bkm/Steelcase Ride, ensure ongoing scientific research to find a cure and provide for the continuation of vital programs and services offered by the chapter to those in Connecticut affected by MS.
