2007 Toy Drive

Each year the Department of Social Services, Health Department, Volunteer Fire Fighters, Ambulance Corp and Police Department collaborate to collect money and toys to be distributed to children in need throughout the Town of Windsor.
Your generosity and assistance with this program has always been tremendous. As you might expect, we are seeing more and more families in need of our assistance due to the increase in utilities, food and gasoline. This is why I am sending this letter out earlier this year. Your help is needed more than ever!
The Emergency Services Toy drive will take place on December 8th and 9th at the Safety Complex. Gifts can be brought to the Safety Complex on that Saturday and Sunday or to the Chamber of Commerce Annual Holiday Party on December 5th at Alstom Power on Day Hill Road. We will have an ambulance and police cruiser outside with Santa's elves collecting unwrapped toys and gift cards. Each year we have difficulty with gifts for the older children ages 11-13 but have found that gift cards work well for this age group.
We ask that gifts NOT be wrapped. If you are interested in adopting an entire family for the holidays, please contact me and we can discuss the specifics. This program is largely a success due to your commitment, energy and generosity. Thank you from the many families who will benefit from your efforts.
