Archer Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church will celebrate their 121st Anniversary on Saturday, April 19, 2008 with a banquet celebration at the La Renaissance located at 53 Prospect Hill in East Windsor, CT. The keynote speaker will be the renowned author and speaker, Dr. Claud Anderson, President of PowerNomics Corporation in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Anderson has drawn the nation's attention to the advantages of redeveloping and industrializing Black communities. He is widely recognized as one of America's most influential intellectuals. Dr. Anderson has a broad and varied base of expertise spanning education, business, federal and state politics and successful social reform. The Guest Soloist, well known locally for her vocal talent, will be Riva Bailey-Green, daughter of Archbishop Leroy Bailey of First Cathedral in Bloomfield, CT. Social hour and silent auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. Ticket cost is $75.00 per person. Deadline for ticket sales is April 5, 2008.
