Artists Talk: 'Meeting Places, Common Grounds of Inspiration, Process and Image'

The currently-exhibiting artists, Karen Dolmanisth and Kathryn Myers, will each give a talk and slide presentation discussing the other artist's work. They have known each other for 25 years and will talk about how they created their work. Initially they shared studio space and thereafter would often visit each other. Come and hear how they have drawn inspiration from each other's processes even though they are very different.

Kathryn Myers has been a professor of painting at the University of Connecticut since 1984. In 2002 she held a Fulbright Fellowship to India. She has exhibited her work widely in the United States and India.

Karen Dolmanisth is a New Media Sculptor, Installation and Performance Artist. Since 1978, Dolmanisth has been pushing the boundaries of contemporary experimental art. Dolmanisth has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally.

For the 'Illusory Meeting Places' exhibition at the Windsor Art Center, Kathryn is showing recent paintings and Karen has create a site-specific installation.

The Windsor Art Center is open Thursdays from 6-8 PM, Saturdays 10-4 PM and Sundays 11-4 PM. Directions and other information at www.windsorartcenter.org
