Author of NY Times Bestselling Book to Speak at First Church

On Sunday, January 27, Pauline Chen, author of 'Final Exam, a Surgeon's Reflections on Mortality', a book that appeared on the New York Times bestseller list, will preach during the 10:00 a.m. worship service at The First Church in Windsor at 85 Palisado Avenue, Windsor, CT.

Following the service, church members and guests are invited next door to Nelson Hall in the Parish House at 107 Palisado Avenue to grab a cup of coffee and listen to Pauline Chen lead a Second Hour discussion from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM.

Pauline is a medical doctor who grew up in Windsor (the daughter of Mei and Jong Chen). She has written a provocative book that challenges the way the medical community deals with end-of-life issues. Pauline is an outstanding surgeon, a gifted writer, and a person of deep spiritual commitment.

A limited number of copies of her book can be purchased in the church office ahead of time and she will be glad to sign them following the conclusion of Second Hour.

The church office number is 688-7229. This event is free to the public and there is ample parking and a handicap friendly entrance and elevator available.
