"Big Al Anderson and the Balls" Concert & Fireworks Saturday, September 13 in honor of Windsor's 375th anniversary. You won't want to miss this special concert featuring Big Al Anderson and the Balls on the Windsor Town Green 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Opening for Big Al is Bus 13.

Following the concert, enjoy a brilliant, colorful and heart-pounding fireworks show in the meadow of the Loomis Chaffee campus, just a short walk, beginning at 7:30 PM.

No alcohol allowed at either event.

Both events are free, courtesy of the many generous Windsor 375 sponsors!

PARKING INFORMATION

Parking for both the concert and fireworks events is available in public parking areas in Windsor center and residential streets facing west only.

Concert goers can walk to the firework display via Batchelder Road.

Parking at Loomis Chaffee is for handicapped parking only. (from there, the walk has a slight incline.)

Shuttle buses will run from Windsor High School (near tennis courts) to Loomis beginning at 6:00 PM.

One-way traffic is allowed to enter Island Road. A drop-off area will be available, then vehicles will proceed off campus north on Mechanic Street behind Town Hall.

MORE CONCERT INFO:

Windsor's own BUS13 will open for Big Al. BUS13 is known for their blend of alt-rock, alt-country, and power-pop flare. BUS13 has released three independent albums including "Reflector" (2003), "Band Radio" (2005), and "Underground Parties and Other Fabulous Shoes" (2008).

BUS13 is inspired by a wide variety of artists including Jeff Tweedy/WILCO, Ryan Adams, Eagles, John Lennon, Neil Young and Hank Williams Sr.

Taking the stage following BUS13 is Windsor's own Big Al Anderson and the Balls. "BIG AL" ANDERSON is "300 Pounds Of Twangin' Steel & Sex Appeal!"

Alan Gordon Anderson grew up in Windsor. A former member of The Wild Weeds and NRBQ, Anderson is one of the most prolific songwriters in music today.

He's been called one of the greatest rock guitar players. Ever. Is he country or rock-n-roll? Both plus a healthy measure of blues, soul, and pop!
