Marty Podskoch will be at the Windsor Public Library on Thursday, May 22, at 7PM to give a presentation on the History, Lore & Legacy of the Civilian Conservation Corps camps in Connecticut. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) began on March 31, 1933 under President Roosevelt's "New Deal" to relieve the poverty and unemployment of the Depression. The program will include pictures he has gathered from former CCC members and their families, and the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection This program is free and open to the general public; Windsor Public Library, 323 Broad Street, Windsor, 860-285-1918 for more information.
