International Strings come to Northwest Park

The Northwest Park Concert Series continues its winter schedule with
The International String Trio on Saturday February 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Northwest Park Nature Center in Windsor.

. The International String Trio is a group of exceptionally talented musicians, all alumni of Berklee College of Music. Ben Powell on violin, Slava Tolstoy on guitar, and Ippei Ichimaru on acoustic bass. They have developed a wide following for their concerts throughout New England and around the world. The trio enjoys using the diverse cultural backrounds of its members to influence its stylistic diversity presenting their audiences with a mix of acoustic appalachian folk, jazz, virtuosic classical arrangements, and popular and world music.

The Northwest Park Nature Center is a smoke free, handicap accessible facility located in Windsor, Connecticut. Tickets are $18. For information and reservations call 860-285-1886 or go on line at www.northwestpark.org. Proceeds will benefit environmental studies at the Park.
