Category:Northwest Park
The Friends of Northwest Park announce plans to hold the 23rd annual Pancake Breakfast at Northwest Park in Windsor on Saturday, April 5th from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Since the first weekend in February the park volunteers have been busy taking the sweet sap from the sugar maples of Northwest Park and making it into the sweet syrup that will be featured on pancakes. Included with the large pancakes the breakfast will have sausages, orange juice and hot beverages.

After breakfast, visitors can enjoy a visit to the sugar house to see how syrup is made, visit the nature center with it's many exhibits, tour the tobacco museum, enjoy the many animals in the animal barn or take a leisurely walk on some of the park's many trails.

In addition the Friends are happy to welcome Washington Lodge #70 of the Connecticut Freemasons to participate in the mornings activities by providing their 'CtChip' child identification program. This service will be free to all families visiting the nature center. For more information on 'CtChip' please visit www.ctchip.org.

Tickets for the breakfast are $5.00 and $3.00 for children under 6 and the proceeds go toward projects at the park. For more information and reservations call Northwest Park at 285-1886.
