Windsor Garden Tour
Building on the success of four previous events, Windsor Historical Society and the Windsor Garden Club again team up to present a fifth Windsor Garden Tour on Saturday, July 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. rain or shine. We invite you to view eight Windsor gardens exhibiting the artistry and hard work of their owners. Some of the gardens are newly planted and some are decades old; all provide inspiration and delight! Garden hosts will be available at each garden to answer your questions, so mark this important date on your calendar now.

Tickets for the tour are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the tour. Proceeds support community programming offered by both organizations. Tickets with a brochure describing the gardens and a map may be purchased from:
Ashley's Distinctive Jewelry and Gifts, 555 Day Hill Road, Windsor
Bill Selig Jewelers, 161 Broad Street, Windsor
Jordan Florist, 10 Palisado Avenue, Windsor
Members of the Windsor Garden Club
Snelgrove's, 1763 Poquonock Avenue, Windsor
Windsor Historical Society, 96 Palisado Avenue, Windsor (open Tues-Sat. 10 - 4). You may also download the advance order form on our website www.windsorhistoricalsociety.org and follow directions to have tickets sent to you.

The gardens, which may be viewed in any order, are located at:
3 Eno Street: Beauty and practicality are combined in the 100% organic vegetable gardens and berry patches with composting bins and an underground watering system. Colorful flowerbeds complete the landscape.

244 Carriage Way: Three sun gardens feature a relaxing pergola garden, a rock wall, and a trellis garden.

375 Palisado Avenue (Rte.159): Gardens surrounding this 1791 historic cap include a raised deck and brick patio retreat with a variety of container plans, a vegetable garden, and a green house.

31 Elm Street (off Rte. 159) Zen-like shade and flower gardens accented with original metal sculptures create a peaceful retreat in downtown Windsor.

3 Kellogg Street: The owners describe their garden as "a painting in the eye of the gardener." Come see what they mean.

18 Douglas Street: These gardens feature a variety of colors and plantings and glorious dahlias.

64 Belmont Avenue: Annuals and an array of eye-catching perennials and grasses add beauty and interest to this yard.

1079 Plymouth Street: A lovely perimeter garden and a collection of over forty years of perennials and flowering shrubs intermixed with annuals, plus a delightful raised bed garden are features.
