Fiber Revolution: Spectrum Exhibition

The Windsor Art Center at the Freight House will host Fiber Revolution: Spectrum, an exhibit of art quilts. Spectrum includes quilts that grab the viewer's attention from the across the gallery juxtaposed with small framed works that beckon the viewer in for a closer look. Spectrum is a melange of colors, shapes and textures. These contemporary artworks are created by members of Fiber Revolution.

Fiber Revolution is a network of twenty-eight professional textile artists, residing in six states, who are also members of SAQA (Studio Art Quilts Associates.) Fiber Revolution's mission is to promote quilts as an art form and educate the public about fiber art. Fiber Revolution has been exhibiting as a group since 2003 in numerous galleries across the United States, most recently at the Museum of the American Quilter's Society in Paducah, KY.

Susan Ferraro of Colchester, CT and Gwyned Trefethen of Sherborn, MA are the curators. All are welcome to attend the Artist's Reception on Saturday, March 15 from 3 - 6 PM. Trefethen will give a Gallery Talk, open to the public, on Saturday, April 12 at 11 AM. The Windsor Art Center hours are Thursdays 6 - 8 PM, Saturdays 10 AM - 4 PM and Sundays 11 AM - 4 PM. Admission is free.
