As part of its process of examining the proposed 2010-2011 Windsor Public Schools budget, the Board of Education announces two February Public Hearings.

The first public hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 2 at 6:30 p.m. and the second will be on Saturday, February 6 at 10 a.m. Both hearings will take place in the Board Room of L.P. Wilson Community Center at 601 Matianuck Ave. in Windsor. Following each public hearing, a Board of Education Finance Committee workshop will be held in Room 17 in the same building. Both workshops are open to the public.

"The two upcoming public hearings offer new opportunities for citizens to speak directly to members of the Board of Education about the development of the 2010-2011 budget," explains Windsor Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth E. Feser. "We hope that people will come and make their opinions known."

The Board of Education's adoption of the budget is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 23 at 7 p.m. as part of its regular meeting in the Council Chamber of Windsor Town Hall on Broad St. The Superintendent presented her 2010-2011 proposed budget to the Board of Education on
January 20. That presentation was followed by a Public Hearing.
