Dr. Jatinder Sharma DDS and Dr. Puneet Rangi DDS and their enthusiastic team are eager to serve you and your family’s dental needs. Signature Smiles Family Dentistry of 408 Windsor Ave. opened in the Wilson area of Windsor on January 25, 2018. Jatinder is a Chamber of Commerce member.

Jatinder was born and raised in Punjab, India. He completed his Bachelors in Dental Science at BJS Dental College. Inspired to continue his education, he went on to obtain his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) at NYU College of Dentistry. Puneet was raised in Owosso, Michigan. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Neuroscience. Afterwards, she would complete her DDS at NYU College of Dentistry. The two soon met.

“We became dental school sweethearts,” Puneet laughs. After their time in New York, the couple moved to Illinois, but stayed for only ten months or as Jatinder says, “It wasn’t our kind of place. Very lonely.” Puneet adds in, “They were a corporate office and did things their way.” Jatinder then says, “We decided to move back to the east coast because we graduated from NYU. I spent four years there. She spent four years with me. We wanted to move back. Then we heard about Connecticut. We had fans here. We had some social life. Then I worked for a dentist in Meriden, and I worked there for six months. All of sudden I got this opportunity in Manchester.

Their first office as Signature Smiles Family Dentistry in Manchester opened November of 2015. A second office was added in Hartford during December 2017. The couple took notice as to where their patients were coming from and that was Windsor. The two felt this would be a good place to open their third location. As Puneet puts it, “We checked it out and saw there weren’t that many dentists here. I think this is a good town. Patients are in need.” Jantinder explains, “I was personally walking on the road (in the Wilson area) asking people. So I was doing a survey for like three months asking people, do you guys need a dentist? They were like, ‘Yes! We need it! We have no dentist here.’ I talked with people who said it would be awesome if you opened one here. There’s no dentist around here for two to three miles.” When the third location of Signature Smiles made its debut, there was no advertising. People simply started going by word of mouth or referral. There have been approximately 164 patients that have joined this location in just three months alone.

Signature Smiles Family Dentistry accepts all major insurance plans such as MetLife, Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, United Health Care, Guardian, ConnectiCare, Husky, Medicaid, etc. They use state of the art equipment and some of their services include, mini dental implants, conventional implants, fixed bridges and crowns, root canals, veneers, wisdom teeth extractions, among others.

Although the husband and wife team live in Manchester, due to the location of their first office, they have grown fond of Windsor. Among other reasons, one is the food. They have already tried Taste of India on Broad St. and their first taste of Windsor came from Wilson Pizza Palace. Jatinder raves about the Kebab House, a block down from their office. They appreciate the convenience of getting all their shopping needs at Windsor Shopping Center when they’re in town.

As of nearly a year, both Jatinder and Puneet’s world revolves around their adorable ten month-old daughter who they affectionately refer to as The CEO.
